Synopsis
Larsen & Toubro has secured a large EPC contract from Kuwait Oil Company to develop Jurassic Light Oil export facilities, strengthening its international order book and expanding its presence in the Middle East.

Larsen & Toubro (L&T) has secured a large engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) contract from Kuwait Oil Company (KOC) for the development of key infrastructure supporting the country's Jurassic Light Oil (JLO) export facilities. The project further strengthens L&T's international order book and reinforces its position as one of the leading engineering and infrastructure companies executing large scale hydrocarbon projects across global markets.
The contract has been awarded to L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore, the company's hydrocarbon EPC business, and will be executed on a Lump Sum Turnkey (LSTK) basis. The project includes the construction of new crude oil storage facilities, pipelines and upgrades to Kuwait's existing crude oil export infrastructure to support higher production capacity.
The announcement comes as L&T continues to expand its presence in the Middle East, a region that remains one of the company's largest international markets for energy, oil and gas, infrastructure and industrial projects.
Under the contract, L&T will undertake the engineering, procurement and construction of new export infrastructure for Kuwait Oil Company.

He said the development of Jurassic Light Oil export infrastructure represents an important investment in Kuwait's energy sector and reaffirmed L&T's commitment to delivering the project with high standards of safety, quality and execution.
Winning another major overseas contract strengthens L&T's international order pipeline and highlights continued demand for its EPC capabilities in the global oil and gas sector. The Middle East remains a key growth market for the company, with governments investing heavily in energy infrastructure, refinery upgrades, petrochemical projects and export facilities.
Large international contracts also improve revenue visibility for engineering companies by providing long term project execution opportunities. Continued order inflows from overseas markets help diversify L&T's business across multiple geographies while reducing dependence on domestic infrastructure spending.
L&T Energy Hydrocarbon Onshore is one of the company's core engineering businesses, providing end to end EPC solutions across upstream, midstream and downstream hydrocarbon projects.
Over the years, the business has executed large refinery expansions, petrochemical complexes, LNG terminals, gas processing plants, fertiliser facilities and cross country pipeline projects across Asia, the Middle East and other international markets.
