Synopsis
Tata Boeing Aerospace remains in focus as its latest Apache fuselage milestone highlights India's growing role in the global aerospace and defence supply chain.

Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited has rolled out its 400th AH 64E Apache helicopter fuselage from its manufacturing facility in Hyderabad, marking another step in India's role in the global aerospace supply chain.
The fuselages are manufactured in India and then integrated into the final Apache helicopters supplied to customers worldwide, including the US Army. The Indian Army also received six Apache helicopters in 2025, while the Indian Air Force operates 22 AH 64E Apache helicopters.
Tata Boeing Aerospace Limited is a joint venture between Boeing and Tata Advanced Systems Limited. The company was established in 2016 and operates a 52,000 square metre facility in Hyderabad.
More than 750 engineers and technicians work at the facility, using robotics, automation and aerospace manufacturing technologies to produce fuselage aerostructures for Apache helicopters.
The latest milestone highlights how manufacturing facilities in India are becoming part of global defence production and supply networks.
The Apache fuselage milestone comes shortly after Tata Advanced Systems signed a memorandum of understanding with the Javelin Joint Venture, a partnership between Raytheon and Lockheed Martin.
Under the agreement, Tata Advanced Systems will explore the co production of the Javelin All Up Round missile in India. The companies are also considering a dedicated final assembly and integration facility along with component manufacturing capabilities.
The proposed facilities are intended to support future production requirements in India and the wider Indo Pacific region.
The developments involving Tata Boeing Aerospace and Tata Advanced Systems come as India continues to expand domestic defence manufacturing and increase the role of private companies in defence production.
For Tata's aerospace and defence business, the focus will now remain on expanding manufacturing capabilities in India and securing a larger role in global defence supply chains as new production programmes take shape.
