Air India has deployed its new Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner on one of its daily Mumbai–London Heathrow flights from 1 July 2026, introducing Premium Economy on the route for the first time. The airline will operate AI131/AI130 using the new aircraft, while its second daily service will continue with the upgraded Boeing 777-300ER.
The deployment is part of Air India's ongoing fleet modernization programme and brings upgraded Business Class suites, Premium Economy seating, redesigned Economy cabins, and enhanced onboard services to one of its busiest international routes.
