The official teaser suggests OnePlus will continue expanding its budget smartphone portfolio, offering consumers another option in the affordable mid-range segment.
OnePlus has confirmed that the N6x adopts a design similar to the OnePlus Nord 5, featuring a pill-shaped rear camera module, a clean back panel and flat edges. The power button and volume keys are positioned on the right side, giving the phone a modern design language already seen in the company's recent smartphones.
The handset will be available in two colour options:
The Nord-inspired styling suggests OnePlus is bringing a more premium appearance to its budget lineup, allowing buyers to get flagship-like aesthetics without paying flagship prices.
While OnePlus has not officially revealed the full specifications, the company is expected to equip the smartphone with hardware similar to its existing budget portfolio.
Based on current expectations, the device could offer:
If the phone retains the battery capacity offered by the N6, it could deliver strong battery life, which remains one of the key buying factors in the affordable smartphone segment.
The OnePlus N6 was launched in India at a starting price of ₹22,999 for the 4GB RAM + 128GB storage variant.
| Model | Starting Price |
|---|---|
| OnePlus N6 | ₹22,999 |
| OnePlus N6x | Expected to be priced below or around the N6 |
Although OnePlus has not confirmed pricing for the N6x, industry expectations suggest it could be positioned slightly below the N6, giving buyers another affordable option within the company's smartphone portfolio.
The affordable smartphone market remains one of the most competitive categories in India, with brands focusing on premium designs, large batteries and software support rather than flagship specifications.
With the N6x, OnePlus appears to be continuing that strategy by combining familiar Nord-inspired styling with expected budget-friendly pricing. If the final specifications and pricing are competitive, the device could attract buyers upgrading from older entry-level smartphones as well as users looking for a OnePlus device without moving into the premium price segment.
More details, including the processor, display, cameras, battery capacity, charging speed and official pricing, are expected to be announced during the launch event on July 31.
