Synopsis
Axita Cotton FY26 results, share price, exports, profitability, dividend and bonus shares remain in focus as investors track the company's latest financial performance.
Axita Cotton reported a 74% rise in net profit to ₹1.90 crore for FY26, even as revenue from operations fell 43% to ₹370.40 crore from ₹652.70 crore in the previous financial year.
The Ahmedabad based cotton manufacturer and exporter reported higher profit before tax and improved return on capital employed during the year. The company also saw stronger exports and a sharp increase in inventory turnover.
| Metric | FY26 | FY25 | Change |
|---|---|---|---|
| Revenue from operations | ₹370.40 crore | ₹652.70 crore | 43% lower |
| Profit before tax | ₹2.84 crore | ₹1.55 crore | 83% higher |
| Net profit | ₹1.90 crore | ₹1.09 crore | 74% higher |
| ROCE | 5.55% | 3.23% | Improved |
The company's cash and bank balances increased to ₹15.98 crore from ₹10.56 crore. Return on capital employed also improved to 5.55% from 3.23% in FY25.
The results show that Axita Cotton generated higher profit despite handling a lower level of revenue during the year.
Exports increased more than three and a half times to ₹30.57 crore from ₹8.94 crore in FY25. Exports accounted for 8.29% of total turnover, compared with around 1% in the previous year.
The company expanded its export portfolio beyond sesame seeds to include cotton bales and groundnut oil. This helped increase the contribution from overseas sales during FY26.
Inventory turnover increased sharply from 63 times to 283 times during FY26. The company attributed this shift to its back to back trading model, which allows it to keep lower inventory at the end of the period.
Trade receivables also declined from ₹31.96 crore to ₹17.48 crore, indicating lower outstanding receivables at the end of FY26.
